Joy

     Today was a wonderful day here at the Baby Centre. Kristy Joy was adopted. It was one week ago today that we had the funeral for Ruth. It was a wonderful turn of emotions today as we celebrated the adoption of Kristy Joy.

Going Home to Jesus

 Our little Ruth went home to be with Jesus today.

Our precious little Ruth is now with her eternal Father in heaven. We are thankful that our team was able to make it to the hospital just in time to say good-bye to Ruth. She passed away today during the late morning at Tenwek Hospital. ...We are praising God for her eternal healing, but mourning for the precious little life we have lost. Her sweet smile will be missed daily here at the Baby Centre, but we know that God has her in His arms and she is smiling at Him. All of the Baby Centre staff are so thankful to have been a small part of her life here on earth to show her love and compassion. Please continue to pray for all of the children and staff at the Baby Centre.

Coming and Going

    A couple of days ago Patty and Erick went home with family. I will miss their smiles and especially their laughter. Patty had such a contagious laugh. Please pray for them and their family.

This is a picture of Erick on Christmas morning. This was the day we made them pancakes and sausage.

     Check back soon, as I will have a photo of a new two year old little girl that arrived a few days ago. You can begin praying for her though. Her name is Angel. She is a sweet little girl.

     Also, a few days ago I posted a few pics of projects going on around the Baby Centre. Yesterday the cows were moved from the farm to the complex here. I heard from those involved that it was an interesting journey down the street. The cows needed no help to get moving, in fact they ran to the Baby Centre. They are now in their new structure. Will post a pic of that later as well. The kids in wing B were standing at the window, excited to see the latest additions.

Baby Centre Projects Galore



     The Baby Centre is a busy place these days with many projects going on around the complex. Below are some of the projects that are either still being worked on or have just been finished.

Keying of the Security Wall

 

     As you can see from looking at the picture, the two sides of the wall look very different. While it makes the wall look nicer, the intent of keying is for security. It makes it more difficult to remove the individual blocks.

 

New Zero-Grazing Stalls for Our Dairy Cows

      We are moving our cows to the Baby Centre complex. Not only is it better for the cows, health-wise, it is also better for security purposes and saves us money in the transportation of the milk.

 



Feed Store for the Dairy Cows

We will store the cow feed, veterinary supplies and the tools for the farmhands.
 

New Diesel Fuel Pump

      We now have the ability to fill our own water truck and emergency generator with diesel fuel stored in our new underground tank. The tank is 4500 litres and will store enough fuel for 2 months.

 

Biogas Plant

     It will produce enough cooking gas, from our own cows, to cook all the food for the children. That way we will never have to buy any. Last year we spent about $2,500 in buying cooking gas.

Outdoor Cooker

     We use it to cook meals for large groups, including our staff.  We have enjoyed using it three times already and it worked great. We even made the staff chili one day.

  

A New Forever Family

 

Ezra got to go home with his new family today. It was precious to watch Ezra fall asleep in the arms of his dad. Thank you God for bringing this family together!

Our Latest Addition

     Here is our newest addition to the Baby Centre family: Eden. She is a newborn. 

My Heart is Overflowing

     What a Friday we have had at the AGC Baby Centre! God is a God who provides for all of our needs, including finding just the right families for us. Today we celebrated the home-going of three of our children. What a joyous occasion, but a hard one for us as well as they have become a part of our family. There were so many people in the room today, to see them go home, that we could barely fit as we celebrated these new families. Everyone was so happy and excited, children and parents included. Pray for these precious children as they continue bonding with their families, and for the families as they raise these boys to become men of God.
