Kathleen and Blessing

     Kathleen is a sweet eight month old girl, who weighs around 15 pounds. She joined us at the Baby Center a couple of weeks ago.

     I am so excited to share that Blessing has gone home with her mom. Thanking God for another forever family that has been formed.

Busy Days

     These are special days here at the Baby Centre. We have had two children who became part of a forever family.

     The above picture is of Lewis and his new mom and dad. We are so thankful to these parents for coming and loving one of our babies as their own. They introduced themselves as the mom and dad of Lewis when they spoke to us as he was leaving. Thank God for providing this family for Lewis.

     What a sweet moment to see Emmanuel bonding with his new mom and dad. His parents were very sweet people. At one point Emmanuel had climbed out of his mom's lap to go play with a toy on the ground and one of the other children walked up to her and held their arms out to be held. She was so loving and picked up the other child and held him and loved on him until Emmanuel returned to be picked up. Thankful for God providing such wonderful parents to our kids.

     On top of children going home, we have also had some that arrived. Please pray for these new children as they adjust to being at the Baby Centre.

    Meet Joshua. He has been here for a few weeks and is settling in well. His smile lights up a room and he loves to copy people.

     Meet Phillip. He arrived here just a few days ago. He is about 1 week old and weighs around 7 pounds.

Pics, Pics and More Pics

     Last week we had a group here who did an amazing job on putting up a fence for our Wing B kids. It is a beautiful area for the kids to play in, and is now even more safe since so many of the kids are walking and crawling all over the place. We are so thankful for the teams' hard work on getting this project finished.

 

 

     The group also helped to repaint some of the children's outdoor playground equipment. They painted their slide, the swing sets and the monkey bars that were put in a few months ago.

     Below are some updated photos of some of our kids. The first two are of Naomi and Jonathan when they first arrived, followed by photos from just a couple of days ago. It is amazing to be able to see them grow from tiny infants into a brother and sister who follow each other around as they crawl and are trying to pull themselves up. Jonathan likes to crawl into the closet when I am working in there and try to walk off with clothes!

     Photographs are very hard to take here some days. The kids all love to have their photos taken, so they will often climb on or in front of the person you are trying to take a photo of. Or as you can see from Blessing's picture they also like to try to touch or hold the camera. They also do not sit still for very long so that makes for some slightly blurry pictures or part of their head being cut off in the photo.

     Those are all of the photos I have for right now, but check back again soon for another set. Please remember to keep these children in your prayers. Pray for good health and development and for the parents we know God will provide for them. Please also pray for me as I work to help them in their development that God would show me how best to help each child. Please also pray as I prepare a VBS for the kids about the characteristics of God, that it would help them to know Him better. Thanks for following me on this journey!

Joseph Goes Home

     Yesterday Joseph became part of a forever family. It was great to see his big brother interacting with him. As you can see from the photo Joseph was very comfortable in his father's arms. He fell asleep while we were saying goodbye. It was so cute at one point when one of the caregivers was sharing, Joseph began singing Deep and Wide. Thanking God for another family. Please pray for them as they begin their new life together.

What a glorious day at the AGC Baby Centre! We thank the Lord today for the wonderful parents he sent for Paul today. Paul has been here since 2008. We always expect prayers to be answered immediately but this prayer took almost 5 years. God's timing is always perfect. Today after meeting Paul's parents we know why God had us wait. They are wonderful people. Praying for God's blessings to rain down on them and their new family.

     Today is an exciting day for all of us here at the Baby Centre. Pictured above you see four of our children who have been moved into a home with their house parents Pius and Evelyn. These parents have such a heart for children and they could not stop smiling. Please pray with us as they begin this new journey together.
