Bittersweet Moments

    Today James became part of a forever family. What a blessing it was to watch as he snuggled and fell asleep in his mother's arms at his goodbye party. Days like today are a wonderful moment to see how God is working in the lives of His children, yet at the same time they are a difficult moment for those who loved James.
     James was one of the first children to intentionally seek me out to interact with me. As you know from previous posts he loved to play blinking games and blow kisses. I was able to see his first moments of crawling and walking. He was becoming quite the talker.
    Many of you have prayed with us for a family for him and today God answered our prayers. So, while we are sad to see him go, we are so excited for him as he becomes a precious and loved member of this new family. Pray for them as they bond as a family and that James will grow into a young man of God.

     Meet our newest addition. His name is Cordwyn. He is only five days old and weighs in at about 7.5 pounds. Please pray for him as he grows and adjusts to being here.

Arrivals and Departure

Meet Milicent. She joined us yesterday at the Baby Centre. She is 14 months old and weighs in at 14 pounds. Please pray with us for her to grow strong and healthy.

Meet Naomi. She also joined us yesterday. She weighed in at around 11 pounds and is 6 months old. Please pray for Naomi as she adjusts and that she will feel God's love in those who are helping to care for her.

Kevin went home with his mom and dad a few days ago. Please pray for them as they grow as a family. Thanking God for bringing this precious little boy a family.

Samuel David

 

 

We have had another little guy who joined us on Thursday of this past week. His name is Samuel David. He is 8 months old and he weighs 18 pounds. He is adjusting well. Please remember him in your prayers,

Newest Kiddos to Join Our Family

 

Meet Benja, a sweet five year old little boy. He arrived at the Baby Centre with his sister Margaret (Pictured Below) about a week ago. He smiles all the time.

 

This is Margaret. She is about 14 months old. Her brother is Benja. She is a shy and quiet little girl. That is until you get her in a swimming pool and then she loves to splash, smile and have fun.

 

This cute little guy's name is Amos. He is about 14 months old. He joined us yesterday.

 

Please pray for all of these precious children as they adjust to their new life here and that they would be strong and healthy boys and girl who know God loves and cares for them.

Blessing Then and Now

     Many of you may recognize little Blessing that came to us last year. She has grown up so much since then. She loves to talk and calls everything an mtoto (meaning child) these days. Above is her picture when she first came to us. Below is a photo that was taken a couple of days ago. Our little girl started taking her first steps! She is still a little shaky and has a hard look of concentration on her face, but when she reaches you and grabs on to your hands she gets a big smile on her face. Please continue to pray for this precious little girl as she continues to grow.

Jude

 

 

Jude went home yesterday with his mom and dad. What a special occasion to be a part of. Thankful for God providing a family for this cute little guy. How special to be part of a moment when you can see the love written all over his parents' faces. I feel so blessed to be able to see and take part in these precious moments.

Updates and New Blessings

     Meet our newest addition Hosanna. She arrived today at the Baby Centre. She is 3 weeks old and weighs 5 pounds. Pray for her as she begins her new life here.

     Update on Caleb David from the Baby Centre's Facebook page: We were able to receive Caleb back at the Baby Centre today from Tenwek. He has stabilized and is on several medications. Please continue to keep him in your prayers, we are so thankful to Dr. Bemm and the Tenwek staff for all of their help.
